Nice Try, Aliens.

But honestly, with everything else going on right now, what if there is?

What if the US Government reverse-engineered crashed alien spacecraft and have built bases on the dark side of the Moon and Mars and our space program is nothing but smoke and mirrors?

How does it affect your life personally?

Quote of the Day

All you have to do is ask the question, 'Can you have a universe without God?' Suddenly you are called a militant just for asking the question…even politely asking the question. You can't help but be called strident and militant in this world if you somehow say, 'You know what, maybe it's all bullshit.' It's sad because in every other area of human activity you can make fun of things. And you should be able to make fun of religion. And if we can't there there is something seriously wrong." ~ Lawrence Krauss

It's Worse Than They Think

From Green Eagle:

Sorry, but people on the left still seem to be too shell-shocked to face reality. Case in point, this article today, from Daily Kos:

"The U.S. media are still flummoxed by the question of how to cover Donald Trump's actions, even a full year after his ejection from the Oval Office. That ambivalence is understandable; never before in the history of this country has someone so thoroughly brazen and insouciant in his raw criminality occupied a position now enjoyed by Trump, whose every utterance now smacks of outright, seditious intent. Trump is indeed an anomaly they have never dealt with, with his millions of supporters comprising an imposing swath of the American electorate."

The media is not "flummoxed," they are willing collaborators. Since Ronald Reagan made it possible for the mainstream press in this country to be purchased lock stock and barrel by huge corporations, it has become nothing but one more tool, like the Republican party, to force the will of rich sociopaths on the country. It is what they are paid to do, not the result of their not understanding what is going on.

"There seems to be a consensus among major media outlets that Trump continues to represent a lethal threat to our democracy, but the magnitude of that threat is seen as blunted by the fact that Trump is out of office and therefore unable to inflict immediate harm"

Yeah, there is "a consensus among major media outlets that Trump continues to represent a lethal threat to our democracy;" anyone with a grain of sense can see that. The rest of that sentence is dead wrong. Telling the truth is not "blunted" because they think there is no immediate harm; it is suppressed because that is what the mainstream press is paid to do. The press are Trump's collaborators, not his dupes. That should be obvious, but for God knows what reason, it's not.
