VOTE!

I know Uncle Joe is not everyone’s cup of tea. Personally I think he’s done an excellent job considering the disaster he came in to clean up. Is he too old? Probably. But so is the Orange Menace. I would like nothing more than to see a deep blue, liberal someone under retirement age take the reigns of the presidency, but considering there is no one out there at the moment willing or able to take on the mantle, we’ve got to make due with what we’ve got.  So unless you want to see the end of democracy in the United States altogether, come November GET OFF YOUR ASSES and get out there and—holding your noses if necessary—reelect Joe Biden. PLEASE.

They’re All Cowards

For all the years-long media hype surrounding her career, Nikki Haley has never really managed to get anywhere. That’s because, as she keeps demonstrating, she’s tone-deaf and has no political savvy.
We saw this on display yet again when Nikki Haley was confronted by a fifteen year old kid who wanted her to answer a question about whether Donald Trump is a threat to democracy. You’d think Haley would know that a question like this is coming and be prepared for it. Instead this happened:

When a kid asks you a predictable yes or no question and you’re so unable to come up with an answer that you can only stand there and fumble it while the kid is escorted away, you’re not meant for the big leagues. Nikki Haley is simply in way over her head and always has been.

Yes Virginia, They Really ARE That Stupid!


In preparation for an upcoming neo-Nazi march local residents decided to

fight back in a hilariously perfect way by sponsoring each of the 250 fascist participants

For every metre they walked, $10 went to EXIT Deutschland(helps people escape extremist groups)

The anti-semitic walkers didn’t figure out the town’s scheme until they had already started their march, and it was too late to turn back. The end result? The neo-Nazis raised more than $12,000 to fund programs to put an end to neo-Nazis.

Yes Virginia, Nazis really are that stupid.

WordPress Woes

As undoubtedly most of you have noticed, Voenix Rising has been having a few…issues…over the past couple weeks. Based on the last time this happened, I knew I’d have to get my ISP involved to provide me the necessary information I needed to resolve the issue. (That information was not something I could get myself, so…)

Anyhow, without giving too much away, I applied the fix and all seemed well…until I noticed my scheduled posts were no longer working. Ultimately the solution to that should’ve been obvious, but thanks to a few WordPress plugins and going down some rabbit holes that led nowwhere, I was able to track the issue down to the changes I’d made to single file on the site after conferring with my ISP.

I’m not saying that this has fixed everything, but at least queued posts are working normally again and the various other errors I was seeing internally have been resolved. Time will tell if the bigger problem that started this whole exercise has gone away or not, but I’m holding out hope.
