I happened upon a genius way of dealing with phone scammers, i.e. “The Office of VISA and Mastercard” et. al.

Go ahead and actually let the bot connect you with one of those scammer sweatshops in Delhi. When they start asking questions, just start spouting random words. It confuses the hell out of them. I kept one of them on the phone for over ten minutes this morning until I got bored and hung up. (That was ten minutes he couldn’t scam someone else.)

If you’re in a particularly snarky mood and they call, give it a try. It’s fun!
