This is funny because I always used to give my dad a hard time aboutĀ his monochromatic wardrobe, but if you look in my closet now, you’ll encounter a sea of black polos. They have a ton of different logos, but they’re all still black…

And yes, I do have a rainbow of other polos as well; it’s just I have way more black ones than anything else.

I Know a Lot of People…

…swoon over Robert Pattinson, but he’s never elicited such a reaction in me. To my eye, he’s one of those guys who can be sexy as fuck one moment and look like Quasimodo’s brother the next. I will admit, however, that as he’s gotten older he’s falling more in more into that former category, as these pics below attest.

Temporal asphyxiation has been the dark ill ofĀ recent years. Inadequacy, anxiety and panic pervade existence. And existence is condemned to fearĀ of the moment to come—a moment has alreadyĀ melted away even as it looms over us. It’s not onlyĀ that we are unable to stop: we are also incapable ofĀ dwelling in a time where we no longer find any shelter. Every moment is now uninhabitable.

Time seems to have been eaten up even beforeĀ it has been granted to us. We are on an escalatorĀ descending ever more quickly-and we have to
run up the steps to avoid the abyss. Improvised,Ā fictitious escapes, private revolts and minor boycotts serve little purpose—and we often pay dearly
for them. Oases of deceleration and slowdownĀ strategies are nothing but palliatives.Ā ~ Donatella Di Cesare
