After his old drums were destroyed in a house fire, 10-year-old Alijah Lockhart was surprised by his music teacher, Stacy Caldwell, with a new drum set. Alijah will also be receiving an electronic drum set, a practice pad, and music books.

Form Over Function, a Rant
I like the Apple bluetooth keyboard. I am probably one of the few people you'll meet who actually likes the ergonomics the Apple Magic Mouse (I have since it was originally introduced years ago). But put the two of them together on my desk and it's a disaster. The edge of the keyboard is exactly the height of the metal portion of the mouse, so they're constantly colliding, and as you can see from the picture above, it happens so often that the anodized coating has worn off the corner of the keyboard. Because, you know, Apple couldn't have made the keyboard a millimeter or two thicker…it would've offended Jony Ive's aesthetic, after all.

…to put in bike lanes: bike lanes that no one will ever use.
It just doesn't make sense. Phoenix is not somewhere temperate where people actually bike to work or downtown. In the summer, afternoon temps flirt with 120F for weeks on end. Even hardcore mountain bikers like my boss, eschew cycling when it gets that hot.
If they wanted to make 3rd and 5th Avenues two way, fine. But don't put in something that is basically useless and adds nothing to the community. Put in a planted median down the center of the street and plant some shade trees. That would've increased the value of downtown much more in my opinion.

Hey Daddy…
And This is How Monday Began…
So far (and it's only 8:20 am) I ordered my coffee from the wrong Starbucks so I had to drive fifteen minutes out of my way. Then I hit every. goddamned. stoplight. red on the way to work. Work laptop locked up and then wouldn't boot (thankfully it was able to repair itself). Had to change my password (of course) and ended up locking myself out of the system. Logged into my admin machine with my admin credentials and—of course—it had to run Windows updates for ten minutes. Finally got logged in, reset my main account password. Tried to log back in with my main account and got "password invalid." Ended up locking myself out of the account again, so wash, rinse, repeat. Finally got in with the new password and Office 365 didn't like it. As I said it's only 8:20 and I'm already in a mood!

Someone Needs To Make This Happen
I think Mr. Kohli would be up for it…although I must say that while I enjoyed Keanu Reeves' 2005 film portrayal, my favorite Constantine was the 2014 television series where he was portrayed by Matt Ryan. In my opinion it was one of those shows that was canceled way before its time.
