  1. So many Film Memories of this Remarkable Woman. From the films, ‘Seargeant York’ and ‘Meet Me in St. Louis’, and then Television as the Moms on ‘Lassie’ and ‘Lost in Space’. And on an entirely different level, has anyone else seen that old 1970 Youtube Clip from (I think), ‘The Virginia Grahm Show’, were, as a guest, June Lockhart stands UP for Gays? She was a Treasure!

  2. A story I’ve heard about June Lockhart:
“In a 1970 appearance on The Virginia Graham Show, June Lockhart spoke out against homophobia, challenging the host’s moralizing by stating one should not judge a life they haven’t lived. She explained that she had many talented, brilliant, and charming homosexual friends and that their sexuality was never a topic of discussion, just as she wouldn’t discuss her own private life with them. Lockhart emphasized compassion and acceptance, making a progressive and courageous stance for her time and against the prevailing views. ”
    In 1970!!!
    RIP ally
