One Step Closer

…to losing my Arizona identity entirely.

I took Anderson in for an emissions inspection this morning in preparation for getting Colorado plates. He passed.

I'm taking Monday morning off to go wait in line at the DMV. I can only imagine what a little slice of hell that is going to be. I haven't heard anything good from the natives about it…

Fingers crossed that my personal plate hasn't already been used here. If it has, I have a few backups in mind.

  1. Wow, in Vegas we can do almost all of that online. Even the emissions test goes electronically, instantly. Last time I had to go to DMV it was because I hit a dog, which thoughtlessly took my license plate with it to heaven (evidently). No online actual plates allowed, apparently. Even my driver's license photo was taken in 2004! But they keep on using it. Too bad it wasn't a good one. Funny thing was, at the DMV parking lot (worst lot design on planet earth) I witnessed a car accident!

  2. I did visit the Colorado DMV.org site. Didn't look for very long but I did read that it sys the worst time to go to their DMV is Monday and Friday.

    1. Same bad times as in California.
But reservations are the only way to go, if available.

  3. Here in California you can go online or call their 800 number and make an appointment for your visitt to the DMV. You probably already know if they do that in Colorado but I at least want to mention it.
