I have been bitching about this for years.
Just think what would happen if the US were not bound by Citizens United, big oil, tech, or the greedy 1%.
We can be comparable to other countries that strive to improve the lives of their people.
America can and should do better.
The optimist in me tells me that we will eventually get there, but first the cancer that is currently infecting our society must be eradicated. Perhaps that is WHY all this is happening in the universal, woo-woo scheme of things.
