You're a bad man. You're a very bad man!
Irreverent, independent, and often snarky partnered married gay boomer and doggie dad who is tired of moral pontification by hypocritical conservative assholes and hate filled religious bigots.

Retirement
(That's actual number of calendar days. It's a whole lot less if you remove weekends and holidays. And even less than that if you calculate the actual number of days I have to go into the office!)
The year was 1963 (I'm old) and my friend Susan had returned
from London after a year and found a Mini to drive. I had just
turned driving age and she taught me on the Mini stick shift and I've driven a manual since then. What a joy! mwg
I prefer a manual transmission as well. My current MINI and a VW I had about 20 years ago are the only two vehicles I've owned with automatic. The only reason I went with auto now is that a stick wasn't readily available (and kinda happy since I've since learned that the reverse gear on this particular model year is a little slice of hell). I don't miss it THAT much, especially when in Sport Mode, because the automatic shifting closely resembles my own manual shifting style.
