Based on some recent incidents, let me reiterate: If you are the owner of a photo that appears on this site and wish it removed, you don't need to get all legal and send threatening letters and takedown notices; just email me with the photo's URL or leave a comment on the offending post and I will gladly remove it.

(That's actual number of calendar days. It's a whole lot less if you remove weekends and holidays. And even less than that if you calculate the actual number of days I have to come into the office!)
I now live halfway on the train-line that goes from Paris to Mont Saint-Michel. (Call me lucky!)
With this argument, I've tried to lure some old friends to pay me a visit. But with the pandemic, it did not work very well :D. At least, till now.
Even I, cancelled train tickets for Paris this week. The last variant is having its grand finale of contamination right now, like a firework. (It means the Covid time is soon over, I genuinely hope.)
I haven't visited the old abbey yet. If you go by train, there is a bus change to make in the train station of Granville. And you have to prepare yourself to climb a lot of stairs.
I guessed France from the language on the signs, but actually lots of towns in western Europe look pretty much like this.
