I suppose if I'd had today's cellphone technology in my pocket I would have. Alas, when I lived in The City I was limited to film photography and the associated expense that went along with it.

These photos of San Francisco are beautiful. I catch myself recording half of them. (Thank you)
But they are a bit too beautiful to be true, I mean, to be enviable.
Real estate prices have skyrocketed in this place, with the influence of personal fortunes made in the silicon valley.
If I live there, I would quickly feel like living in an Ayn Rand novel. And I sure hate her political views.
The welcoming family houses, that look old honest and simple, are likely to cost tenfold what they seem.
And in the wonderful photos, each brick of the pavement seems to have been cleaned with a toothbrush. It's a bit dystopic for me.
Meanwhile, the hobo rate in SF is still outrageously high.
I sometimes find myself attracted by Paris. But it's a love/hate relationship.
Long story short, if you catch yourself seeing only the good points of capital, then you're not in the truth.
They say all paradises are lost paradise. For the rest I see no harm in indulging in a fantasy 🙂
