You're a bad man. You're a very bad man!
Irreverent, independent, and often snarky partnered married gay boomer and doggie dad who is tired of moral pontification by hypocritical conservative assholes and hate filled religious bigots.
Based on some recent incidents, let me reiterate: If you are the owner of a photo that appears on this site and wish it removed, you don't need to get all legal and send threatening letters and takedown notices; just email me with the photo's URL or leave a comment on the offending post and I will gladly remove it.

Retirement
(That's actual number of calendar days. It's a whole lot less if you remove weekends and holidays. And even less than that if you calculate the actual number of days I have to go into the office!)
When I heard about that court case, something seemed "fishy" about it. As if it was some sort of test case or similar, like the wedding cake test case? Also as if you knew what the ultimate outcome would be in our current political climate. In other words, we had NOT heard the back-story on the situation, only the "sound byte" story.
It was later reported that Justice Gorsuch seemed to make HIS own version of the situation, which is what he ruled on.
Seems the school district had requested the coach pray elsewhere than on school property, in front of everybody. Why did the coach feel the need to pray on the football field in the first place?? Some players joined in, some of their own accord and others who felt it was the correct thing to do, for whatever reason. As if they perceived they might get "Brownie Points" for being in that prayer group,
Even after those requests from his employer, the coach persisted in doing what he did. As if he was taunting them to do something. So, being insubordinate, they fired him. Well, you KNEW what the charge would be before it ever was made. They violated his "right to free speech" and possibly "right to assembly", NO matter that he was completely insubordinate to his employuer's requests and orientations. Any private business could have easily fired him for that, but putting religion into the mix, plus his "rights", changed it all up.
AND, from Florida, the coach wondered if he might be offered his old job back!!!
