You're a bad man. You're a very bad man!
Irreverent, independent, and often snarky partnered married gay boomer and doggie dad who is tired of moral pontification by hypocritical conservative assholes and hate filled religious bigots.

(That's actual number of calendar days. It's a whole lot less if you remove weekends and holidays. And even less than that if you calculate the actual number of days I have to come into the office!)
I'm not saying I believe in god. I certainly don't believe in the god you don't believe in which is an infantile, distorted, and ridiculous misunderstanding of the concept of god. That goes as well for prayers, quoting bible verses, born agains, evangelicals, etc. etc. All pretty infantile ideas, held by so many. Which is why I find your anti-religion memes both nonsensical and irrelevant – they are true, but stating the obvious about nonsense seems like a useless exercise. If one believes in science, in the vastness of the universe, in the mystery that can cause a combination of chemicals to result in what we call living protoplasm and life forms, in the secrets of the oceans, in the stars and planets and galaxies and beyond, in how small and insignificant is our planet and our individual selves….and if one can experience awe and wonder in all of that, and the fact that we can actually reflect upon it, that, I would posit, is an experience of something greater than ourselves, something essentially incomprehensible. Call it what you will. Some great thinkers have called it God.
Amen.
