Based on some recent incidents, let me reiterate: If you are the owner of a photo that appears on this site and wish it removed, you don't need to get all legal and send threatening letters and takedown notices; just email me with the photo's URL or leave a comment on the offending post and I will gladly remove it.

(That's actual number of calendar days. It's a whole lot less if you remove weekends and holidays. And even less than that if you calculate the actual number of days I have to come into the office!)
These say so much in so few words. I was horrified to learn one of my longtime friends is against raising the minimum wage because "they shouldn't earn almost as much as I do with a Masters degree." I had to point out that the problem was that she was earning so little with a Masters, not that other people would be earning a living wage. I also asked her what is taken away from her life if someone she doesn't know earns more money for the work they do. But she had no opinion about billionaires paying no taxes and profiting off of crisis after crisis. Neither effect her, yet she chooses to take a stance against the poor and ignore the rich. Sigh.
