Apologies…

Apologies if the site is acting a bit…wonky. I don’t know if it’s just me (I’m currently using the latest beta of MacOS Sequoia) or it’s something on the back end at my host, but I’m noticing some strangeness with stuff loading. Sometimes the header will load in Safari, but not in Firefox. Other times various individual images will load in Firefox but not Safari. And don’t even get me started with the Duck-Duck-Go browser! I’ve re-enabled some backend tools to help with load times, but I’m not sure it hasn’t done more harm than good…

Hmmm…

I don’t know if this is true or not, but it makes for a great story nevertheless…

I Know I’ve Posted This Before…

…and I hate to ruin a good wank pic for ya (because it initially pushed all my buttons in a good way for obvious reasons), but the more I look at it, the more weirdness pops out.

I’m not saying the whole thing was AI generated, but there was certainly Photoshop style AI fill used. I mean, look at the background. Look at his hand. What is that shit? And the way the painting/photo on the wall curves down under his armpit? And what is all that crap immediately under his pit that extends to his thigh? There was either something else there at one point, and whoever removed it really wasn’t paying attention to what was generated or the whole thing is generated and whoever posted it figured it was good enough…because it’s just fucking weird.

Oh Snap!

This is not “stupid” design. There was a deliberate decision to make the mouse useless while charging. But why?

Perhaps you’re annoyed that you have to pause your work and let it charge, so you’ll buy another one as a backup.

Also, if you own one long enough, eventually its internal battery will deteriorate, offering progressively shorter work time. If it had the chargeing port in the front, you could leave it always attached and still use it, just downgrading your wireless mouse to a wired mouse. It would be acceptable to some people. But this way you have to buy a new one.

Those are two potential chances for additional revenue with just one seemingly “stupid” design choice.

It’s the same as putting critical components next to heat sources in their laptops. Apple doesn’t do stupid things; it does asshole things.
