He decided to flip The Champs’ “Train to Nowhere” record and play “Tequila” instead. That move catapulted the tune to the #1 spot on the Billboard Chart on this day in 1958! Of course, the track “Tequila” got another bump in 1985 from this scene from “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure.” #TrueStory
