When HE claimed FBI agents had been ushering January 6th rioters into the Capitol, SHE told him directly there was no evidence of that.
When HE insisted the 2024 California elections were being rigged in real time, SHE asked for evidence.
When HE said all he had to do was look, SHE pushed back again: “But that’s not evidence,” she said, calmly and without flinching.
SHE pressed him on his abandoned $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization” fund, demanding a straight answer on whether he was backing off it completely.
SHE confronted him on the 170 people who pleaded guilty to assaulting police officers on January 6th.
SHE cited his own words back to him on his “no new wars” pledge and refused to accept his attempts to rewrite history.
And HE responded the way he always does when cornered: he called her names, turned an ungodly shade of orange, and stormed off.

If ANY other president had behaved like this, we’d never let him live it down.

When Supermarkets Sue To Block Affordable Food They Admit Their Prices Are The Real Problem
adhd_memetherapy: The grocery industry in New York City spent decades pulling out of low-income neighborhoods, then charged those same people more when they were forced to shop at their relocated stores. Now the city wants to open five stores of its own, one per borough, in those exact neighborhoods, selling groceries around 30 percent cheaper so that working-class people can have an affordable option. The supermarket lobby is distraught because their overpriced food can’t possibly compete with stores that don’t run on the hyper greed model that every corporation in this country runs on or learned to implement in their MBA programs. So instead of competing, like the system of capitalism was designed for, they’re trying to sue to stop it before a single one of these city run marts opens. Five stores in the Bronx and Harlem aren’t going to bankrupt anybody. What scares them is a city proving in public that it can feed people cheaper than they do without price gouging everyone. And look at who’s actually paying for the lawsuit. It was filed with the backing of the America First Policy Institute, Larry Kudlow’s Trump think tank, which has never cared about a bodega in the Bronx in its life. They’re in it because Chicago and Atlanta are already looking at copying this, and if a socialist mayor in the biggest city in the country shows that the government can sell you eggs for less than Kroger can, every other city is going to want one too, and there goes the story they’ve been telling us for fifty years about how the private sector always does it better.

After years of being scam-call free on my personal phone, over the past few weeks it seems that at least once a day I get this same call:

So any amount, small or large, is not non-collectible through this program. But we have to enroll. So give me a call back and we can get you all set up. It won’t take long. It’s really a one and done setup, so I’ll keep your account open through the end of the week. To connect with a specialist now, press 5 or you can call me directly at 877-577-1143. Naturally the first couple times this happened I pressed 9, but apparently that made no difference, and once I realized since the name of the loan company always changed this was actually a scam operation and that by pressing 9 I confirmed they’d reached a “live” number.
So a couple days ago I decided to return the call. No longer having to check my language like I had to do when I’d get scam calls at work, I um…well let’s just say the past year’s worth of anger and frustration found an outlet.
“Do you wanna fuck?” I asked “Jason” or whatever his name was.
“Uh…” He was obviously taken aback. Then a few seconds later, “Sure.”
And the bastard hung up on me!
Did I leave it?
Do you know me at all? 😈
“Jason” suprisingly answered again.
“So Jason, when are we gonna hook up and make some wild monkey sex?”

I called back again.
This time I got “John.”
I asked if he was into anal.
Click.
I called back yet again.
This time It went immediately to on-hold music. After about a minute or so the call disconnected.
I called back yet again.
This time I got a recorded message telling me I’d reached a number no longer in service.
They’d blocked me!
It was then I noticed the callback number they provided wasn’t actually the number displayed on my phone.
So I called THAT number.
Apparently it was a direct line to the scammer call center, bypassing the bullshit message instructing me to press 9 if I didn’t want to received any more calls.
“Jason” answered.
“Hey Jason, you didn’t answer me…when are we gonna hook up…”

It seems I’d found their kryptonite.
Today when the call came in, I called back.
“Robert” answered.
Hi, this is Robert. Who do I have the pleasure of speaking with today?”
“Hey Robert,” I said, “I’ve just got a quick question.”
“Go ahead.”
“So…do you take it up the ass as well as your mother does?”
“Oh [long pause] you should not have said that.”

I called back on both the provided number and the one that showed up on my phone.
Immediately blocked.
I have a feeling this isn’t over yet, but I have found an effective way of shutting them up.

I’m Not A Violent Person, But More Of This Please
A Minneapolis rally organised by Jake Lang descended into chaos on Saturday (23 August) when a counter-protester dressed as Spider-Man appeared to punch Lang in the face.
Lang, a former Republican candidate for US Senate in Florida and 6 January participant who Donald Trump later pardoned, was holding a sign containing an anti-Black racial slur during the rally outside Minneapolis City Hall.
The event was reportedly organised in response to the conviction of Shiloh Hendrix, a white woman who was found guilty of disorderly conduct after directing the same slur at an autistic eight-year-old Black boy at a playground in nearby Rochester.
Lang and his supporters were at City Hall for only a few minutes before the demonstration devolved into violence and they fled the area, as Newsweek reported. Video from the event clearly showed a man dressed as Spider-Man, later identified as William Nicholas Love, striking Lang in the face.
Love was among 11 people arrested and has been charged with assault, while Lang was also arrested and charged with inciting a riot.
Lang has previously staged anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim protests in Minneapolis, struggled to burn a Pride flag during a demonstration against LGBTQ+ people, and been the subject of violent confrontations with counter-protesters.
And in a strange twist, Lang was actually rescued from a Minneapolis protest in January of this year by a Black transgender woman who helped him escape after another of his demonstrations attracted a much larger group of counter-protesters, as reported by FOX 9.
The Spider-Man footage has since gone viral online, while a fundraiser for Love’s legal defence has raised almost $90,000 at the time of writing.

A Texas constable has personally unplugged or covered every county-operated Flock camera, declaring that mass warrantless tracking has no place in a free society.
Hood County Constable John D. Shirley took physical action over the weekend by disabling and covering all three county-owned Flock Safety automated license plate readers.
The defiant move followed a unanimous decision by the Hood County Commissioners Court to terminate its contract with the tech company amidst rising citizen pushback and contract performance issues.
In a public statement on social media, Constable Shirley shared photos of the covered devices, telling the surveillance company to ‘come get your garbage out of my county’ and asserting that the protection of everyday privacy must come before indiscriminate data collection.
Flock Safety cameras, which automatically photograph vehicle license plates and build searchable records of where drivers travel, have become a polarizing issue nationwide. While law enforcement agencies advocate for the systems as indispensable tools for locating stolen vehicles, missing persons, and suspects, civil liberties advocates argue they facilitate continuous, warrantless government surveillance. As Hood County requests a $126,000 refund from the company, the local shutdown has reignited a fierce national debate over where to draw the line between public safety and personal liberty.
