I grew up in a house with the living room and dining room featuring avocado green (two tone, light and dark) shag carpeting, and burnt orange upholstery on the 3 cushion colonial style sofa. Thought the avocado green was the decorator’s prize choice at that time, compared to the gray wall to wall that it replaced. Nostalgia aside, I hope the owner of this home have replaced the shag with hardwood or something cleanable. Is this home on an inland lake? I would not want to invest that much on an ocean coast property.
