  1. Those are called starter homes.

My condo is 832 square feet.

Some of those are fitting 2 bedrooms in less square feet than I have.

Went I went out looking for condos I have viewed some that had about my square feet and they fit two bedrooms in them. Things were pretty tight.

My condo was built in the 80s and things were sectioned off. The lady who I brought my condo from did a gut before she put it on the market. She took down the majority of the walls. Of course you have your bedroom walled off and every thing elese is open. The only small wall that was left between the kitchen and living room is the wall that houses the water pipes from floor to floor. A great improvement. I have seen a few of the older ones and they are like boxes joined together.

The young people today can’t even afford to buy the first home.

I heard it once said that the main reason there is a lot of higher end housing is because the cost of build those home-permits, constructions, materials-is expensive and the only way they can recoup their money is to build towards the higher end.

I say bring back back the starter homes.
