Stolen from Bill in Exile:
1. They cheered the execution of an innocent man.
2. They screamed, "Let him die" when told of a person with cancer and no insurance.
3. They booed a United States fighting man in uniform serving in Iraq.
This is the face of the republican party today.
This who who they are and what they stand for.
And these people are not worthy of being called Americans.
They are, simply put, a disgrace.
If you read any reports of this from right-tinged sources, they'll all be very offended that we'd complain about this. It was only "one or two" people in each instance, you see. It wasn't the "crowd," it was just a few strays that don't represent the whole audience. The tea bagging, tri-corner hat wearing audience.
I ask anyone who isn't clear on the real views of the tea party to go to FreeRepublic.com, and just browse. This site is the purest distillation of the Tea Party that can be found online. Just go through their headings, like "BangList," their pro-gun posts, or "Homosexual Agenda," their badly named heading for all things gay. But not gay, because gay means happy. Take a gander at what the Tea Party is REALLY all about. And then you will not doubt that the rowdy people at the debates really DO represent the "base's" true feelings.
(Not directed at Alexander himself, of course!)
