I Like How The Public Zone Is Totally Separate From The Private Zone

(Yes, Victor, I know the garage is in front and you hate it. But this is suburban America, and unless you (a) get rid of cars entirely or (b) redesign the infrastructure of every suburban city from the ground up to allow for garage entrances in the back, this is pretty much the way it is.)

  1. Front garages/carports are a more efficient use of land. A bit more secure, too.

In subdivisions with rear-entry garages, they all had a feel (to me) of worse than a gated community. If the subdivision is configured such that the ONLY traffic in the “rear road” is garbage trucks and such, that is good. Making it an entrance to homes is not good from many levels.

Front-area garage with a side entry might be Victor’s best option.
