This takes me back for sure…I was working at N. Children’s Hospital psych unit with 12-14 kids with behavioral psych problems; these were the songs that the kids would listen to, [that we all would listen to]. I was a “psychiatric aide” – a job that required professional skills but paid non-professional wages. I wasn’t “out” back then, and was going through my own hell. It helped to write about it many years later.
