Retirement
(That's actual number of calendar days. It's a whole lot less if you remove weekends and holidays. And even less than that if you calculate the actual number of days I have to come into the office!)
Several years ago I was assigned a new Primary Care doc. I was a bit surprised when she came into the exam room wearing a hijab, mainly because it was a LGBTQ friendly clinic. Long story short, we hit it off immediately (she was aware that I'm gay). After about a year or so she informed me at what was to be our last appointment that she was taking a new position elsewhere. We gave one another a warm, goodbye hug.
