I loved ‘The Cockroach Scene’. 🙂 Before deciding to move to New York in 1997, I visited the city for the first time from Seattle around 1994-95 or so. I got my ticket to see ‘Victor/Victoria’ on Broadway. What a gift to myself, Julie Andrews on stage, reprising her film role!
Live performance is something you simply cannot ‘bottle’ like a film does. Though I loved the experience, I cherish the Blake Edwards film more because it was my first and ‘truest’ exposure to these wonderful characters and the actors who created them for us.
And my favorite line of dialog from this great movie:
