Mark, I saw ‘History of the World’ at The Metro on Union Street. I also saw ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ the night BEFORE the opening at The Regency I Theatre on VanNess after that theater had just closed for the night. Reason being my Theatre (Club) used the same Union Projectionist as The Regency, so all his friends and mine and staff went over there late at night to see it before ‘The Great Unwashed’ got to on the next day.
I recall coming out of ‘Clash of the Titans’ and thinking to myself that it was just incredibly Corny. But then again, Ursula Andress’s future husband was SO HOT, I didn’t care about the films’ minor flaws.
