My first Depeche Mode concert of many (21 so far) was kicked off by the tour of this album in July of 1986, thirty years later I got a tattoo to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the album/tour. If it weren’t for all the grey hair I have now and the tat I’d be hard pressed to believe it’s been forty years since this album came out. Holy Crap!
I was initially going for The Smiths but I remembered that my favorite album of theirs was ‘Meat is Murder’.
That leaves me with choosing between Eurythmics and Depeche Mode.
Cartesian as I can be, I asked myself which of those I had been listening to the most with my Walkman back in the days: Depeche Mode
