I am not now, nor have I ever really considered myself a "gamer" or "gaymer," if you insist. But for several months at the start of 1994, I was obsessed with a new game called Myst. Too many very late nights were spent attempting to solve those puzzles. I'd get drawn in, look up and realize it was 3 am. On a work night.

Myst was a very big hit and was my initiation into gaming.
'Riven' ('Myst' with a budget;-) was the first 'video game' I ever 'played'. Total surprise that I solved it as handily as I did, and with no cheats. ('Check the big brain on Dave!') Next game: 'Half-life2'. I wanted to know what FPS games were all about… and it had a very intriguing picture on the box on the shelf (seriously). Quite an experience. Don't know if I could handle today's augmented reality-level games – I'm real old, you know;-)
