(That's actual number of calendar days. It's a whole lot less if you remove weekends and holidays. And even less than that if you calculate the actual number of days I have to go into the office!)
When I was in high school in the late 1960s, MOST guys took Spanish as their foreign language elective. Why? At that time, the more well-to-do families would allow their sons , and a buddy, to take weekend trips into Mexico to visit "the ladies" as they explored the world of TX and Mexico. Naturally, they had to "speak the language". Usually to El Paso and Jurarez, though. OR . . . perhaps it was all made up? I opted for the classier French.
