As I drove through Berkeley yesterday with the radio on, I thought of the waves coming through space to it, and then thought of mars and the waves getting there, and then I thought of you and your great posts on outer space. Low and behold, here is another one. One thinks of those radio waves going all the way to mars to direct the rovers and they do! It works! It is such a wow moment. Thanks for another great day.

  2. We did that! And by we, I mean human beings did that! Think about what an amazing feat of engineering that was! All those complicated systems traveled hundreds of millions of miles and it performed flawlessly, landed where is was supposed to, and is working the way it supposed to work. I'm just gob-smacked by execution of this program. Yeah baby – we're NASA and we know it! LOL

    To me, this is much more interesting that some 2,000 year old book of myths.
