In other words…
I know I could live more comfortably (bigger home, etc) and probably cheaper in other states. But then I think about living somewhere else, and I think about my tax dollars in that somewhere else state going to reprehensible and stupid laws that do nothing but vilify and create cruelty, and I just couldn't stand it. California is like golden handcuffs for liberals like us.
