Retirement
(That's actual number of calendar days. It's a whole lot less if you remove weekends and holidays. And even less than that if you calculate the actual number of days I have to come into the office!)
Years ago, hubs and I went to the Grand Canyon. Luckily, not due to any advanced planning, we arrived very early in the morning. I'd seen photos, of course, but nothing prepared me for the spectacle I saw as we walked up from the road and approached the rim. That was an experience. I am so glad we were the only ones there. Later in the morning the din of tourists talking, laughing, shouting, and moving about had us back on the road, getting away from the crowds.
