  1. I never have followed Carville that much, if at all, but he does like what HE says. As if he is the only one “of reason”, it seems. But with all of his rants and such, he has tended to make himself non-relevant. in the discussions.

Fetterman is on his own planet, it seems. His constituents mike like it that way, too, BUT I’m not sure his planet is in a Democrat galaxy.

As a conservative Democrat, some of the Progressive Democrat statements and orientations tend to alarm me a bit. BUT I know they are aimed in the right direction, which is important. THEY want progress to move the nation forward, perhaps a bit faster than normal, but forward nonetheless. Just the opposite of right-wing operatives who want to take us back to prior times. BUT they never do focus on the really great prior times of economic growth and prosperity (and higher tax rates!) of the middle 1960s. The 1960s was the era of JFK and LBJ, with all of their great accomplishments that protected and moved our society so forward and upward. University education was available at decent prices, medical and scientific discoveries further cemented the USA as a world leader in so many areas. AND the cars reflected many of these things with their bright colors and styling (compared to the earlier decades). The USA was the place to be!

Our military was a great job choice for so many younger people, too. As keeping Communism at bay was an honorable job choice. Everything seemed to just run better. The larger number of bases fed the USA economy, too! As did defense industry production.

That was also the start of the decades of electronic miniaturization. Transistors replaced vacuum tubes, so the pocket AM radio was possible. All of which led to our modern computer “chips” that can do everything.

There were some notable Republican legislators in those times, but Democrats were in the Oval Office and set the tone for things. Regulations increased as needed, to thwart greedy people from taking advantage of poorer people. BTAIM

Forget about all of the “robber baron oligarchs” of earlier decades! Lets return to the Spectacular 1960s! Which was the era I grew up in.

Progressives are necessary! WE need their focus and drive, just focused toward a unified target. Which Pelosi apparently taught AOC and others.
