First off, I’d rip out that hobby room and let it be a dining area. I’d block off about 10 feet on the right side of the multi-purpose room with a door to the space from the foyer, and turn it into an office. The multi-purpose/family room would still be plenty large enough and it would still get plenty of light. I might ditch the carport and enclose the area to create a full two-car garage.

Definitely, at $30,950, a late 1950s early 1960s project. I wonder if the original kitchen appliances were pink or turquoise colored?
Moose is right – the hobby room would probably become overrun with storage – there isn’t much counter space or cabinet space in the walk-through kitchen.
I can’t tell how large the pantry is, so I suspect the ‘hobby room’ would become an extension of that for me; there’s never enough storage in a kitchen.
