  1. Numbers 8 and 9. I grew up in Earthquake country and number 8 was something instilled in me that’s lasted all my life. Even though I’m no longer in a region for Quakes.
Number 9 is something fairly new to me, the stocking up of plentiful pantry items with long shelflife. The reasons for numbers 8 and 9 have changed for me from their original intent. Climate change, possible enviormental challenges and risks affecting things like available drinking water etc.
And number 9, ‘Affordability’. Stocking up on Steel Cans of Ground Coffee, and just about every food that I use daily, weekly. When something you use and find on sale at a great price, has a long shelf-life, consider ‘stocking up’ if your finances allow. Next year will not be as afforable as THIS year; *mark me.
    *What….Me Worry? Nah.

  2. Oh boy…this is triggering. LOL I come from a family (mother’s side) that are all known hoarders but the caveat – they are super organized hoarders and when my mom died, we made a small fortune from her vast and huge “collections.” I am a minimalist because of their ways, thanks family!

  3. We have a family corollary to 11: “possessions expand to fill all available space.” And one member suggests, upon finding the “perfect” item, to “just find space for it.”
